• Page dimensions; bleed requirement and page orientation need to be set correctly. Make sure all bleeds extend 1/8" beyond the edge of the page.
• Include all image and graphics files that have been used and imported into your document.
• In separate folders, supply all native source files. DO NOT embed images in document
• Include all native and printer fonts used (including those in graphics files)
• Make sure you use the ACTUAL TYPEFACE from the font menu when creating your file. (i.e. BTimes Bold, ITimes Italic). DO NOT use the applications "type styles" such as "bold" or "italic" from the style menu.
• Your images should be CMYK not RGB to avoid color shifting
• Images resolution should be a minimum of 300 DPI or higher at final size to maintain the best possible resolution. Lower DPI will result in a pixilated and/or blurry appearance. Adjust your DPI accordingly for enlargements.

Any questions regarding proper file preparation can be directed to your Salesperson. Resolving these issues prior to submitting files for production can save you valuable time and Money!!

For files 10MB (ten Megabytes) or smaller
These files can be sent via email as an attachment. Files should be sent to the Prepress Department manager's e-mail.

If using this option, please notify your salesperson in advance, either by phone or by adding their email address as a CC, so that they can make the prepress manager aware that a file is forthcoming.

For files larger than 5MB
These files can be placed on our FTP site. Important! This is a secure site. In order to use, you must notify your salesperson in advance so that we can open the gateway. We will need to issue you the user name and password. A folder will be placed on the site for your files. Please Open this folder and transfer all files into that folder for organization purposes.

The FTP site address is: ftp.evolutionimpressions.com. If you use Internet Explorer or FTP Client software, you will be able to access the site directly with this URL.

If you use Netscape, you will need to use the following URL: ftp://username:password@ftp.evolutionimpressions.com

Be sure substitute your assigned username and password as applicable. Once you have accessed the site, you will need to enter the user id and password you are given in all lower case. Transfer all required files to the site. Once files have been received, the gateway will be closed and files will be moved to our secure server and removed from the ftp site.
